The game begins when a mysterious stranger (the playable character) contacts the family and asks for their help in a local zombie outbreak. The family agrees and aids him in combating the zombies until a storm occurs. That causes a massive power surge, killing the boys and their friends. In the wake of the tragedy, the boy becomes obsessed with protecting the world from future power surges and sets about trying to find a way to link up enough surges to power an entire city. In doing so, he uncovers a secret about the connection between zombies, voltage spikes, and the ability of humans to generate more electricity than they can handle, allowing him to save the day once again.
