Call of Cthulhu is a delightful, narrative-rich, horror-themed role-playing video game created by Cyanide and Saber Interactive. The game is the spiritual sequel to H. P. Lovecraft’s horror classic Game with the same title. It is a first-person shooter (FPS) game. It’s released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One on 30 October 2018.

Call of Cthulhu has a recurring story involving a hidden object scene, an ominous fog, and other atmospheric elements. The scenes are beautifully rendered using hand-painted 3D graphics. However, I noticed that some parts of the game were not quite right, especially when it comes to the items and objects list. I have also read online that the voiceover actors seem a bit flat, but I couldn’t remember hearing any comments like that from other people who’ve played the game.
Bottom line, this game is fun and well worth a try if you like the idea of hidden object scenes, dream imagery and the occasional dose of horror. You should check out the link at the end of this article to download the game. In general, though, I’d say that Call of Cthulhu is “fairly nice” when it comes to graphics and artwork, and “brutally hard” when it comes to the minigame portion of the play. Other than that, though, I’d give it a three-star rating based on my feelings. If you don’t care for it, I’d advise you to wait a couple of weeks until the next update (if there will ever be one) or avoid playing it.

As any fan of the Cthulhu mythos, I am eager to see what happens in future game versions. Will the game continue the tale created by author Graham Greene in his novels? If I had to guess, I’d say that it’s unlikely. But then again, it doesn’t affect me too much. However, I am very excited to see how fans of the original version will react to the newly revised version. I hope that it will bring out more positive reactions than negative ones.
